Earlier this year, Colin Sure Start was one of 10 Sure Start projects selected to be interviewed and provide information for this years ETI Report on Sure Starts - specifically looking at how Sure Start projects were able to continue to provide services during the restrictions imposed and challenges presented by Covid-19.
The report recognises the difficulties faced by parents and children particularly in the early years in Sure Start areas as a result of Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions, but it clearly highlights the ways that Sure Start projects and their staff were quick to develop new ideas and strategies, often using new technologies, to continue providing vital supports to both parents, children and families during this time.
A huge thank you to all our staff who were involved with ETI in providing feedback, information and questionnaires on which this report was based. It really reflects the innovative, creative and passionate staff and teams across Sure Start projects and the value that Sure Start continues to bring in supporting local communities.
